RUTHH / SERVICES

Shopify
migration.

Moving platforms changes more than the storefront. We plan Shopify migrations around your catalog, customer records, URLs and connected operations so the team understands what will move, what must be rebuilt and how launch will be managed.

DISCUSS YOUR PROJECT
01 / WHAT WE DELIVER

A migration plan you can inspect.

Source audit and data mapping

We inventory products, variants, collections, customer records and any historical orders in scope. Field mapping identifies missing data, incompatible structures and records that need cleanup before an import can be validated.

Store and integration preparation

We define the destination store setup, theme requirements and connections needed for daily trading. Payments, shipping, tax configuration and external systems are reviewed with the people responsible for those accounts.

URL mapping and content checks

We build a redirect plan for relevant old URLs and review how content, metadata and navigation should appear on Shopify. Domain handling, canonical behavior and search-console tasks are included in the launch checklist where applicable.

Trial import and launch coordination

A representative import is reconciled against the source before the final transfer is planned. The cutover plan defines data freeze or final-sync steps, stakeholder checks, release responsibilities and a fallback approach appropriate to the project.

02 / BUSINESS BENEFITS

Know what changes before the move.

Make exceptions visible early

Not every platform stores products, customers or orders in the same way. Recording exceptions helps your team decide what to clean, transform, archive or handle outside the destination store.

Coordinate the store with the operation

Catalog readiness alone is not launch readiness. Testing fulfillment, customer communication and key integrations helps expose dependencies while there is still time to address them.

Exact transfer options depend on the source platform, available exports and Shopify’s supported import methods. Customer passwords and some historical or app-specific data may not be portable. We plan redirects and checks to reduce avoidable disruption, but cannot guarantee unchanged rankings or zero downtime.

03 / OUR PROCESS

Rehearse the move. Agree the cutover.

01

Audit and scope

Identify source systems, available exports, data volumes, access constraints and business dates. Agree which records and experiences are included and document exclusions.

02

Prepare and map

Configure the destination, map fields and URLs, and identify content or integration work. Assign responsibility for data cleanup and external account settings.

03

Trial and reconcile

Run a representative import, compare counts and sample records, and exercise key shopping and operational flows. Resolve exceptions before approving the final transfer plan.

04

Cut over and monitor

Coordinate the final sync and domain steps, complete agreed checks and watch the first trading activity. Record any follow-up work and the support arrangements after launch.

04 / FAQ

Questions that shape the scope.

Which platforms can you migrate from?

We assess the source platform and the exports or APIs available for the project. WooCommerce, Magento and other commerce systems may be considered, but feasibility and scope are confirmed from the actual data and access conditions.

Can you move customer accounts and passwords?

Customer records may be transferable, subject to the available data and permitted import methods. Passwords generally cannot be moved directly; the account activation or sign-in approach must be planned for the destination customer account setup.

What happens to our existing URLs and SEO?

We map relevant old URLs to suitable destinations, plan supported redirects and review content and metadata. Search performance can still change after a platform move, so we agree monitoring and follow-up work rather than promise preserved rankings.

Can historical orders and app data be transferred?

Sometimes, but not every record type or app-specific field has a compatible destination. We evaluate import methods and reporting needs, then identify what can move, what needs transformation and what should remain available in an archive.

Will the store need to stop trading?

The cutover approach depends on data volumes, sync options and operational requirements. A short freeze or controlled trading window may be appropriate. We agree timing, responsibilities and fallback criteria before the final move.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Map the move
before you make it.

Share your current platform, store URL, approximate catalog size and target launch window. We can start by identifying the data, systems and decisions the migration depends on.
