GA4, Google Ads & Pinterest Tag — RUTHH COD Form & Upsells

Configure Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Ads, and Pinterest Tag in Settings → Pixels (/app/settings/pixels) to measure Cash on Delivery funnel progression and completed COD orders through the native Shopify Web Pixel extension.

  • You have your GA4 Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX), Google Ads Conversion ID & Conversion Label (AW-XXXXXXXXX / label), or Pinterest Tag ID.
  • You have access to Settings → Pixels (/app/settings/pixels).
  1. Open Settings → Pixels (/app/settings/pixels) and click Add Pixel.
  2. Select Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  3. Enter your Measurement ID (beginning with G-).
  4. Toggle the funnel events you want reported (begin_checkout on cod:form_open, add_shipping_info / add_payment_info on cod:form_submit, and purchase on cod:order_created).
  5. Click Save in the SaveBar.
  1. In Settings → Pixels, click Add Pixel and select Google Ads.
  2. Enter your Google Ads Conversion ID (for example, AW-123456789) and the specific Conversion Label for COD purchases.
  3. Click Save. When cod:order_created fires, the Web Pixel dispatches the conversion with the authoritative order value, currency, and transaction ID.
  1. In Settings → Pixels, click Add Pixel and select Pinterest Tag.
  2. Enter your numeric Pinterest Tag ID and select the events to track (Checkout on completed COD order).
  3. Click Save.
  • Consent Enforcement: The native Shopify Web Pixel extension checks init.customerPrivacy and subscribes to visitorConsentCollected. Analytics and marketing tags only fire when the visitor has granted the corresponding consent category.
  • GA4 or Google Ads events do not fire in browser network tab:
    1. If your store displays a cookie consent banner, accept analytics and marketing cookies before opening the COD form.
    2. Disable browser ad-blocking extensions while testing client-side Web Pixel tags.
